The Geta name Pid-heel is said that came from latin "pedibus" and "heel". (But it seems the Japanese pronounce or translation trouble turned pedibus to Pid or Pido so I'll follow it here as Pid) This engineered Geta have developed exercise physiology by Dr. Yaishiro Hirasawa (known as a foot sole dr.) and a company located in Kyoto. They made some challenging experiment and the unique one was a climbing Daimonji Yama (Mt. Daimonji), and done with good success. (Referenced: Yutakalism only Japanese)
