“Making a chair like curry rice"
Designer Takeshi Nii (1920-2007) was born as the 3rd generation owner of Kendo Equipment Manufacturing Industry in Tokushima. He aimed toward “making a chair like curry rice" that would be comfortable to sit on, reasonably priced, and useful.
Ergonomic Sitting Comfort
Seating comfort that gives a sense of being embraced by the chair was born of careful calculation of the height of the seat and armrests, the angle of the backrest, and the special properties of the materials. The legs of the chair are specially shaped to avoid damaging delicate surfaces such as tatamimats.
Lightweight and foldable
Since it can be easily folded and stand on its own, it is possible to store it in narrow spaces. Its weight is about 6.5kg and its width is about 15cm when folded. The sailcloth that has a raised fabric and a pleasantly soft touch can be detached and replaced.
High quality sailcloth
In order to support the entire body, strong “Kurashiki Sailcloth" that is said to be first-class sailcloth is used. The factory was founded in 1888. Produced by a deeply experienced and reliable assembly factory in japan.
