Maybe some people have a chance to drink during traveling Japan. And some maybe have a local brewery that labeled with Japanese manufacture. From my experience the local brewed (brewed outside Japan) is totally tastes different comparing which is brewed in Japan. Unfortunately, the taste is soooo.... bad. Why? I don't know but maybe the local is to specified for local? But a lot of my foreign friends like Japanese beer!
Generally, Japanese beer are made to drink in low temperature.
Here below are the recommended tempertartue by manufactures.
KIRIN: 6 - 8C (42.8 - 46.4F)
Suntory: 4 - 6C (39.2 - 42.8F) in summer, 6 - 8C (42.8 - 46.4F) in winter
Asahi (Super Dry): 5 - 6C (41 - 42.8F)
Sapporo: 4 - 8C (39.2 - 46.8F)
